SENTIR edge safety contact edges are pressure-sensitive sensors that are applied to ensure the safety of closing edges at potential crushing or shearing points where there is a risk of injury. They are equipped with optimum overtravel distances and extremely fast switching behavior, providing reliable protection in dynamic applications.
ASO safety edges are available either pre-assembled or as self-assembly kits. The self-assembly version offers a cost-effective and flexible solution for both series production and maintenance needs. Safety edge profiles are delivered in 30-meter rolls and can be cut to the desired length. ASO’s innovative Plug’n’Sense system allows for quick and tool-free assembly without glue – even directly on-site during maintenance. Despite the ease of installation, the assembled edge still achieves IP67 protection class. Simple. Safe. Unique.
A wide range of safety edge profiles is available in various heights and mounting options. In addition to traditional T- and C-base, our selection also includes safety edges that can be mounted from the side to the aluminum profile. The safety edge profiles are made from TPE or oil-resistant NBR, depending on the profile type. ASO also offers fire-resistant, fire-approved safety edges and ATEX-compliant versions.
All profiles are developed and manufactured in-house by ASO Safety, allowing for precise customization to meet the requirements of each specific application. Safety edges can be produced using softer materials and lower activation forces, for example when used on lightweight high-speed roll-up doors. Additionally, sealing lips can be added to the profiles to improve door sealing and enhance energy efficiency, particularly on overhead and folding doors. Upon request, profiles can also be delivered in custom colors or with logo printing.
