Reer Micron light curtains are desinged for industrial and civil applications where it is necessary to detect, measure, and recognise objects. Depending on the number and position of the beams engaged by an object, Micron can provide real time information to a PLC or PC. They can detect the presence or absence of objects, perform a count, detect a position, detect a shape or a profile and measure dimensions.

Max. ranges according to beam spacing:
- 2,5 m – models with 5 mm beam spacing
- 6 m – special models with 25 mm, 50 mm or 75 mm beam spacing for automatic warehouses
- 10 m – models with 10 mm or 30 mm beam spacing
- 18 m – models with 25 mm, 50 mm or 75 mm beam spacing
