DOLD Insulation monitors
DOLD insulation monitors, also known as IMDs (Insulation Monitoring Devices), continuously monitor the insulation resistance in unearthed AC, AC/DC, and DC power supplies (IT systems). They measure the insulation resistance of IT systems against earth to ensure system safety. According to the “Safety of Machinery” standard, insulation monitoring is mandatory in IT systems. These devices help prevent accidents, reduce downtime, and protect against fire hazards caused by insulation faults.
DOLD offers insulation monitors for DC systems, three-phase and single-phase AC systems, mixed AC/DC networks, as well as for monitoring switched-off loads. The devices reliably and quickly detect insulation faults, even in systems with voltage or frequency fluctuations, high leakage capacitances, or DC voltage components.
