Company History

Jakob Lehto (1921-2003) founded Sähkölehto in 1954. On that time the circumstances and standard of living in Finland were totally different than today. He believed that respect of Finnish engineering skills and versatility of economic life are based on the hard work and open mind of Finnish people.

Jakob Lehto felt that he had participated to the development of Finnish society and economic life. He was also grateful for the trust of customers towards our company.

Family-owned business in third generation

Jakob Lehto was the managing director of Sähkölehto for a long period (1954-2001). After his retirement second generation took the responsibilities.

Matti Lehto started as a managing director and Lassi Lehto took the responsibility of sales until 2015. Third generation is already continuing the work by Juuso and Miika Lehto.

Trust is the base of our operation

Our business has always been based on the trust and equal companionship, where all parties benefit of co-operation. Even if the conditions and equipment today’s business are totally different than 65 years ago the base of our business is still the same.
